Comprehensively analyze the operational status of transportation, coordinate relevant major issues, and make policy recommendations for the overall planning of the transportation sector. Make recommendations on major infrastructure layout and coordinate their implementations. Implement the development strategy of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and undertake the day-to-day work of the Leading Group for Promoting the Development of Yangtze River Economic Belt.

The development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt is a major national strategy that is planned, deployed, and promoted by General Secretary Xi Jinping, while transportation and energy are important foundations for economic and social development. We will take Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as our guide, further strengthen our commitment to “the Four Consciousnesses”, “the Four-sphere Confidence”, and “the Two Upholds”. We will firmly establish and implement the new development concept, and follow the requirements of high-quality development, take supply-side structural reform as the main task, and make steady headways in implementing the development strategy of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. We will actively study and implement major reforms, policies, and projects of infrastructure such as transportation and energy, firmly support and advance social and economic development.
