South Africa – China Seminar on Urban-Rural Development
Planning under the framework of Belt and Road Initiative
was successfully held
On the 27th of January 2021,South Africa – China Seminar on Urban-rural Development Planning under the framework of Belt and Road Initiative was successfully held online by the Department of International Cooperation of National Development and Reform Commission of China (NDRC), China Center for Urban Development and Ministry of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs of South Africa. Mr Li Bin, Senior First Counsellor of the Department of International Cooperation of NDRC attended this seminar and delivered a welcome speech.
During this seminar, both sides shared their experience in formulating and implementing regulations of urban and rural development planning, and agreed to take this seminar as an opportunity to expand the alignment of development planning, elevate the level of practical cooperation, implement the outcomes of FOCAC Beijing Summit and make preparation for the upcoming FOCAC in 2021. Both sides will endeavor to achieve substantial outcomes under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative and to scale up bilateral relations to a new high.
