Forum Jointly Organize Multinational Enterprises to Visit
In order to deepen cooperation with the World Economic Forum (WEF), make China's opening-up policy better understood, and stabilize foreign investment and trade, from October 19 to 21, the Department of International Cooperation of the NDRC and WEF jointly organized a three-day visit to Zhejiang’s Hangzhou City and Yiwu City together with 17 WEF multinational business members.
The delegation held seminars with government officials of Zhejiang province, Hangzhou and Yiwu city as well as local leading enterprises, and visited Hangzhou City Brain, Hangzhou Dream Village, Hangzhou Qiantang New Area, Yiwu International Trade City, Yiwu Green Power Town and Yiwu Light Source Technology Town. The purpose of this visit was to gain in-depth understanding of China’s policies to attract foreign investment and measures to improve business environment as well as the development of digital ecnomy, small commodity and foreign trade economy and other industries with local characteristics, and to discuss the feasibility of foreign investment in Zhejiang province.
Relevant officials from the Office of Policy Studies and the Department of Regional Economy of the NDRC joined the visit.
