Closure of Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway
The first multi-span rigid frame continuous beam of Indonesia Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway No.2 Bridge has been closed successfully on 10th May, 2020. The closure is another significant progress, in which Chinese construction team has overcome the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic and dedicated to boosting the project construction.The closure marks the entrance of the longest bridge of the whole line into a crucial stage.
The 213.8-meter long beam is an important and pivotal point for the whole line. Constructed by Power China Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway Project team, the beam crosses two highway ramps and an overpass with dense land transport network, heavy traffic, complex construction environment, and high safety risks. The construction team undertook key research on the continuous beam construction, actively cooperated with domestic and foreign scientific research institutes to ensure safety and quality control of beam construction.
