Zheng Shanjie, Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China met with Tim Cook, CEO of Apple Inc on March 27.
Chairman Zheng Shanjie said that the Chinese government will unswervingly implement the basic national policy of opening to the outside world and NDRC will continue to support foreign-funded enterprises including Apple in their business in China. China could provide a broad market to multinational companies with its industrial digitalization and digital industrialization process, super-large-scale market, and huge middle-income groups. It is hoped that Apple will continue to actively undertake corporate social responsibilities and strengthen data security and personal privacy protection. Mr. Cook introduced Apple's investment and development in China. Both sides exchanged views on topics such as the prospects of the Chinese market and the stabilization of the industrial and supply chains.
