On April 4th, Zheng Shanjie, Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), met with Guillaume Faury, CEO of Airbus.
Zheng Shanjie said that China's promotion of high-quality development and advancement of Chinese modernization will provide broad opportunities for multinational companies such as Airbus. We are willing to maintain close communication with Airbus to strengthen and facilitate mutually beneficial and deeper cooperation between Airbusand its Chinese partners, as well as to jointly promote the digitization and low-carbon development of the aviation industry. Airbus’cooperation with China is a model of pragmatic cooperation between China and France/Europe. Both sides should focus on the long-term prospects and jointly create and maintain a good cooperative atmosphere. We expect that Airbus will continue to play an active role in this regard.
Faury said that Airbus highly values its cooperation with China. Overcoming the impact of Covid-19 pandemic, Airbus has continued to promote the implementation of new projects in China. Airbus is willing to make good use of existing cooperation mechanism with the NDRC, to deepen communication and exchanges, expand cooperation areas between both sides, embrace the opportunities and challenges of digitalization and low-carbon development, and contribute to the high-quality development of China's aviation industry.
