On December 26, Chinese and Egyptian enterprises held a signing ceremony in Cairo for cooperation projects such as "oil-to-gas", localized production, and natural gas tanks.

Chinese ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang and Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Nevin Gamea attended the ceremony.

Liao Liqiang noted that it was declared at the recent Eighth Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation that the two sides will implement "nine programs" including trade promotion, investment promotion and green development, which coincide with Egypt's national strategy of green transition of energy and industrial structure for sustainable development. China is ready to work with Egypt to implement the important outcomes of this conference, and encourage and support Chinese enterprises' participation in the green development projects in Egypt to create more benefits to both countries and peoples.

Nevin Gamea said that trade and industrial cooperation is an important part of the Egypt-China comprehensive strategic partnership. Egypt is committed to developing clean and renewable energy, upgrading traditional industries and realizing sustainable development goals. He welcomed more Chinese enterprises to invest and do business in Egypt, especially the green cooperation and localized production programs to promote technology transfer and achieve green transition of the country.
