The Chinese Embassy in Oman held a completion ceremony for the Zheng He monument beside Salalah Beach. The event was attended by several Omani dignitaries, representatives from Chinese enterprises, overseas Chinese and more than 200 others. Many residents and tourists also gathered around to watch the ceremony. During his speech, Li Lingbing, the Chinese ambassador to Oman, stated that the completion of the Zheng He monument held special significance at this historical moment marking the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Oman. He believed this unique landmark will serve as a new symbol of the friendship between China and Oman advancing into a new era.
