On May 8, the opening ceremony of the seminar on rules of origin for the upgraded ASEAN-China Free Trade Area (ACFTA) was held in Guangzhou, China. A total of 52 officials from ten ASEAN countries and the Secretariat in the field of trade and customs participated in the training. The seminar aims to introduce to the officials of ASEAN countries the rules of origin for the upgraded ACFTA, visa operation procedures and specific practices of Chinese customs, to help ASEAN countries improve the level of utilization of the ACFTA and promote trade and investment facilitation between the two sides.
