Ministers Agree On Further Deepening Cooperation

H.E. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Indonesian Coordinator for Cooperation with China,Minister of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment and H.E. Ning Jizhe, Vice-Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China held a Video conference on 11 June 2021.The two sides conducted an in-depth discussion on joint development of the Belt and Road Initiative, deepening cooperation on the regional Comprehensive Economic Corridor, and ensuring the completion of the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed railway as soon as possible.
Mr. Ning Jizhe reiterated that Indonesia is an emerging economy and a major developing country.China-Indonesia should set a long-term goal of jointly building a China-Indonesia community with a shared future, focus on trade and investment, people-to-people and cultural exchanges, maritime cooperation and anti-epidemic and public health cooperation.
Representatives from the relevant Departments of NDRC and the Chinese embassy in Indonesia also attended the video conference.
