A ceremony was held on January 11 to mark the completion of the Africa Center for Disease Control and Prevention headquarters project (Phase I), a China-aided project for the African Union. The visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang attended the ceremony.
This landmark building of friendship, solidarity and collaboration between China and Africa is a flagship project of Sino-African cooperation that President Xi Jinping has repeatedly mentioned in recent years. It is also a vivid portrayal of the fact that China and Africa share the same destiny and walk with arms linked, leaving a new mark of the era for building the China-Africa community of health for all.
Over the years, China has carried out practical cooperation with African countries in various fields, closely linking Africa's independent and sustainable development with China's own, bringing tangible benefits to the people of both sides.
