On August 4, the Belt and Road Financial Cooperation Forum was held in Istanbul, Türkiye. The forum was co-sponsored by the Chinese Embassy in Türkiye, Istanbul Businessmen and Industrialists Association and other organizations, and attended by more than 100 people from political, business and academic circles and financial institutions in China and Türkiye. The attendees exchanged views on digital economy, green economy, sci-tech development and innovation, bilateral people-to-people exchanges between China and Türkiye, and sustainable development.
Necip Fazıl Kaymak, vice president at the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Finance Office, said at the forum that Türkiye embraces the "rebirth" of the Silk Road. Historically, Türkiye was one of the important stops on the Silk Road. The "reborn" Silk Road has become a development blueprint actively responded to and supported by more than 100 countries and international organizations around the world.
