On May 23, the BRI International Green Development Coalition（BRIGC）and Energy Foundation co-hosted an online dialogue on green and low-carbon development and cooperation among power sectors in Southeast Asia under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). More than 70 representatives from Chinese and foreign research institutions, international organizations and enterprises attended the meeting online. At the meeting, they exchanged views mainly on two topics: opportunities and challenges of the green and low-carbon transformation of power sectors in Southeast Asia, and clean energy development and cooperation among power sectors in Southeast Asia. Representatives at the meeting fully recognized the initial research progress made by the BRIGC, and agreed that on the basis of research projects and the dialogue meetings, and taking green solutions as the core, Belt and Road investment and construction projects should be guided to follow the concept of green and low-carbon development, and actively respond to the demand for green and low-carbon development of their countries, further promoting in-depth cooperation between China and Southeast Asian countries in the green and low-carbon field.
