On September 22, China Center for International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE), Australian National University, Institute of Developing Economies of Japan External Trade Organization, Institute of Foreign Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR, Yangon University of Economics of Myanmar, the University of Auckland of New Zealand and the Habibie Center of Indonesia held an online seminar on the topic of "how to promote economic and trade cooperation and regional integration under the framework of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP)" and "cooperation of the industrial chain among RCEP member countries".

Participants agreed that in the context of the continued impact of the epidemic and the slow recovery of the global economy, strengthening economic, trade and industrial cooperation under the RCEP framework will not only benefit the economic recovery and development of RCEP member countries, but also promote economic globalization and regional integration, and the reshaping of global industrial and supply chain. In the future, all parties should work together to increase mutual trust, strengthen communication and coordination on macro-economic policies, effectively manage differences, maintain market opening-up, accelerate the unification of standards. Emphasis should be put on exploring cooperation on digital economy, green development, knowledge sharing, capacity building, climate change and so on, so as to promote the continuous development of the regional economy.
