The 2nd Belt & Road Business Summit on Infrastructure and Construction Machinery was held recently in Changsha, provincial capital of central China's Hunan Province to promote industry cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Industry leading enterprises from home and abroad like Lafarge, John Deere, Sany Group and Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (Zoomlion) shared experience and discussed the innovative development trend of the infrastructure and construction machinery sectors at the summit.

The successful holding of the summit is helping promote the Changsha International Construction Equipment Exhibition and the symbol of Changsha as the "capital of construction machinery" to go global.

In 2020, Changsha saw the total output value of its construction machinery industry exceed 250 billion yuan, registering a year-on-year growth of nearly 30 percent, with the scale ranking first in China for the 10th consecutive year which accounts for about 27.5 percent of the total in China and 7.2 percent of the total in the world.
