Department of Foreign Capital and Overseas Investment and ADB held a High-Level Dialogue on “Implementing the Country Partnership Strategy for 2021-2025”

To continuously deepen the cooperation between the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), have stronger alignment between the ADB’s new approved Country Partnership Strategy (CPS) for the PRC, 2021-2025 and the country’s 14th Five-Year Plan (the Plan), and further improve the quality of ADB’s sovereign lending pipeline in the PRC, the NDRC’s Department of Foreign Capital and Overseas Investment, together with the MOF’s International Economic and Financial Cooperation Department and the ADB’s East Asia Department, held a High-level Dialogue on “Implementing the CPS for 2021-2025” via a hybrid physical-plus-virtual formality on 14 May 2021. Representatives from the NDRC’s Department of Development Planning and the ADB’s East Asia Department introduced the key contents of the “Outline of the PRC’s 14th Plan” and highlights of the new CPS, respectively. All parties to the Dialogue had full exchanges and discussions on critical topics, including further strengthening cooperation, and making better use of ADB’s financial and knowledge resources to support the PRC’s high-quality green development, active response to an aging society, and enhanced efforts to improve public health security during the 14th Plan period.
