NDRC Vice Chairman and Secretary of Indonesia’s Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment Ayodhia GL Kalake Co-host the 2nd Joint Steering Committee of the Development of Regional Comprehensive Economic Corridor

On April 4 at NDRC, Vice Chairman Li Chunlin and Secretary of Indonesia’s Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment Ayodhia GL Kalake, co-hosted the 2nd Joint Steering Committee Meeting of the development of Regional Comprehensive Economic Corridor (RCEC). Focusing on the major projects including North Kalimantan Industrial Park, Kuala Tanjung Port, New Capital of Indonesia, Herbal Center and Kura Kura Bali, the two sides systematically reviewed the development progress of RCEC in the past 3 years and mapped out major tasks in the next.

Vice Chairman Li Chunlin pointed out that cooperation under the framework of RCEC development is a systematic project. The two sides should follow the principles of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, make overall planning in early stages especially feasibility studies for projects and ensure solid implementation afterwards in order to achieve early harvest as earliest as possible and promote the high-quality development of the Corridor.

Secretary Ayohdia pointed out that the two sides should further strengthen communication and exchanges and build closer ties between working teams to promote continuing development of Regional Comprehensive Economic Corridor.

Officials from China Development Bank and departments of NDRC joined the meeting.
