On December 24, He Lifeng, head of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China, and Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba, signed the Cooperation Plan on Promoting Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Cuba.
Following the concept of adhering to open, green and clean cooperation, and the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, the cooperation plan aims for high-standard, sustainable and people-centered progress and focuses on policy coordination, facilities connectivity, unimpeded trade, financial integration and people-to-people bond. The signing of the cooperation plan will create new opportunities for bilateral cooperation, better draw on each other's strength, and inject new impetus into common development.
