On July 12, Li Bin, the Counsel (DG-level) of the Department of International Development of NDRC, attended the launching ceremony of "the Fourth Industrial Revolution Promotes Industry Support and Rural Revitalization" empowerment training jointly organized by the Investment and Technology Promotion Office of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO ITPO Beijing) and Tencent Group. Leaders of relevant national authorities and local governments, diplomatic envoys, representatives of international organizations, executives of leading domestic and foreign companies and innovative SMEs, experts from think tanks and research institutions attended the ceremony.
Li Bin said that the NDRC and United Nations relevant organizations have carried out a series of practical cooperation in areas of the Belt and Road Initiative, poverty reduction, health, education, environment, and so on. In recent years, both parties kept deepening and widening cooperation areas and made great achievements. On this occasion, we are delighted to see that the groups participating in and caring about our series of empowerment training from the institutions, diplomatic envoys, international organizations, associations, enterprises and the media are constantly growing. We are willing to work with all stakeholders to further strengthen cooperation and exchanges, and form more practical cooperation results in areas such as rural revitalization, social development, regional strategies, carbon emission, capacity building, and personnel exchanges, and jointly promote the implementation of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals Agenda.
