A seminar on economic and technological cooperation aiming at helping the high-quality development of Chengdu-Chongqing region was successfully held by Hitachi via online and offline channels in Chengdu on 15 July 2021. H.E. Mr. Ning Jizhe, Vice-Chairman of National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China (online), Mr. Toshiaki Higashihara, Executive Chairman of Hitachi (online), released vedio messages.

H.E. Mr. NING Jizhe said in his message that China and Japan had been deepening practical cooperation in economic and social areas, and both sides gave full play to their comparative advantages to expand pragmatic cooperation in the digital economy, medical health, elderly care and other emerging areas, providing a good platform for political and business people from two countries to exchange ideas. There is great potential for cooperation on digital economy and elderly care between China and Japan. China will, based on the new development stage, implement the new development concept and accelerate the forming of a new “dual circulation” development pattern which can provide new opportunities for companies from both countries to cooperate with each other. We hope that Hitachi and China will carry out more in-depth practical cooperation in the fields of digital economy, health and retirement services, and local development cooperation, etc, give full play to the advantages of capital, talents and technology, and collaborate with relevant enterprises and institutions to help the high-quality development of Chengdu-Chongqing region.
