National Development and Reform Commission Held "Ambassadors Face to Face with the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC)” Event

On June 11, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) held an event entitled "Ambassadors Face to Face with the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC)". The event was the first of a series of event of "Ambassadors Face to Face with Chinese Ministries" organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, which aims to introduce China's 14th Five-Year Plan and the Long-Range Objectives through the Year 2035, and to showcase the achievements of reform and opening-up and socialist modernization. Ning Jizhe, Vice Chairman of NDRC, attended the morning presentation and exchange session, which was hosted by Mr. Su Wei, Deputy Secretary General. More than 140 ambassadors and representatives of international organizations in China attended the event. 

 
 
In his speech, Vice Chairman Ning Jizhe pointed out that during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, China has made brilliant achievements in economic development, poverty alleviation, pollution prevention and COVID-19 prevention and control, while firmly implementing high level opening-up, always supporting and maintaining economic globalization, and making significant contributions to the world. In the 14th Five-Year Plan period, China will follow the relevant arrangement and requirements of the Outline of the Plan. By basing on the new development stage, implementing the new development philosophy and building a new development paradigm, China will solidly promote key tasks, continue to implement the mutually beneficial and win-win open strategy, give full play to the advantages of a large market and the potential of domestic demand, provide more opportunities for cooperation between countries, and inject more momentum into the recovery and growth of the world economy. China's economy has been deeply integrated into the global economy. China's development is an opportunity for the world, which will provide a broad space for collaboration between domestic and foreign investors. China is willing to work with international and domestic friends from all walks of life to create opportunities in openness, crack problems in cooperation, and work together to create a better tomorrow. After the presentation, Vice Chairman Ning Jizhe had an interactive exchange with the ambassadors and representatives of international organizations in China, and answered questions about China's initiatives to achieve peak carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and carbon neutralization by 2060, clean energy generation and promotion of bilateral cooperation and so on. In the afternoon, ambassadors and representatives of international organizations in China visited Beijing Daxing International Airport and Xiaomi Industrial Park in Yizhuang.

 
 
From policy presentations to field visits, the event was rich in content and far-reaching in significance. The ambassadors and representatives of international organizations in China expressed that their participation in the event was very rewarding and enhanced their understanding of China's reform and opening-up and socialist modernization, as well as their comprehension of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the Long-Range Objectives through the Year 2035. They also expressed their appreciation for China's achievements in infrastructure construction and the development of private technology enterprises.
