The 20th China-ASEAN Expo and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, which spanned four days, concluded on September 19 in Nanning, Guangxi. This significant event drew participation from 1,953 companies representing 46 countries, with the ASEAN exhibition standing out as the largest in scale and proportion among China's international expos. A total of 104 procurement groups were present, including 55 international groups, constituting 52.9 percent of the overall attendance.
This edition of the event witnessed remarkable trade achievements, particularly the signing of procurement orders by Brunei on 30 Chinese large aircraft valued at over 2 billion U.S. dollars, marking the largest trade order in the history of the China-ASEAN Expo. Investment agreements also reached a new high, with the signing of 470 investment cooperation projects totaling 487.3 billion yuan, an 18 percent increase compared to the previous edition. Manufacturing industry investments accounted for over 65 percent, setting new records in terms of project quantity, total investment, and the proportion of manufacturing investments. A total of 17 projects with investments exceeding 5 billion yuan were signed, indicating a remarkable 54.5 percent increase from the previous edition. Furthermore, there were over 20 international economic and trade projects and Chinese companies' "going global" projects, reaching a record high in nearly a decade.
