The Bauhinia Culture Forum, themed BRI: Decade of Achievements and Prospects of High-quality Development and organized by Bauhinia Cultural Group, was held in Hong Kong on July 7. The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), John Lee, attended the forum and said in his speech that Hong Kong, as a multi-functional platform of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), has provided important networks and facilities, and will strengthen the promotion of Hong Kong to BRI countries in the future. Lee said that the BRI promotes international cooperation in construction, trade and finance, and so far more than 150 countries and more than 30 international institutions have signed the BRI agreements, accounting for 40 percent of global GDP and 45 percent of world merchandise trade. Wen Hongwu, General Manager of Bauhinia Culture Group, said in his speech that experts and scholars from more than 10 countries and regions, such as Kazakhstan and Indonesia, were invited to attend this forum. They were expected to engage in in-depth exchanges, provide insights, contribute wisdom, and together share the remarkable stories of the BRI with Hong Kong and the world.
