Agreement on cooperation in support of the United Nations Early Warnings For All Initiative signed

On April 12, the Belt and Road Forum on Early Warnings for All was held in Beijing. The Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China (MEE), China Meteorological Administration (CMA) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) signed the agreement to support the United Nations' Early Warnings For All Initiative. Under the agreement, the MEE, CMA and WMO will jointly develop and implement the South-South cooperation project on early warnings to address climate change, and provide assistance to relevant developing countries to improve their capacity to respond to climate disaster risks and early warnings through assistance in early warning equipment and materials, and capacity building training courses.
