Chinese enterprises to help Colombia's Bogota residents realize their metro dream

Recently, the first 1-to-1 model train of the Bogota Metro Line 1 project officially arrived at Barranquilla Port in Colombia. It is the first time that China has exported an urban rail passenger train with the highest level of autonomous driving. The passenger train is equipped with the latest functions including detection of obstacles and broken tracks, realizing the automation of all scenarios such as startup, operation and returning to the depot. The total length of the Bogota Metro Line 1 is 23.96 kilometers, and the contract amount is 5,016 million U.S. dollars. The line is the first rail transit project in Bogota, the capital of Colombia, and the first TPE bond financing project in the country. Construction is planned to start after the signing of the commencement act that gives way to the works of the project is formalized on January 8, 2023 and the project is put into operation in 2028.
