On July 31, Kabul University held the inauguration ceremony of the integrated teaching building and auditorium, which were constructed with the help of China. Osama Aziz, Chancellor of Kabul University, said, "On behalf of Kabul University, I would like to thank China." Construction of the project by Chinese enterprises commenced in September 2017 and finished in May 2021. Covering a total building area of over 14,000 square meters, it is the largest single-building project built by China in Afghanistan in recent years.
