Chinese enterprises' outbound investment up 2.2 pct in 2021, with Belt and Road countries being top destinations

On March 31, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade(CCPIT) released the Survey on Current Conditions and Intention of Outbound Investment by Chinese Enterprises (2021 Edition). The survey pointed out that countries along the Belt and Road are the top destinations for Chinese enterprises' outbound investment. The survey found that 79.5% of the Chinese enterprises preferred Belt and Road countries when carrying out overseas investment, which was followed by Europe (20.4%), North America (25.5%), South America (19.2%) and Africa (21.8%).
