The commissioning ceremony of the world's largest seawater desalination project contracted by a Chinese enterprise has been recently held in Saudi Arabia. By adopting the most advanced reverse osmosis technology, with a daily freshwater output of 600,000 cubic meters, it will provide domestic water to over 2 million households and pilgrims in the country's major cities like Jeddah and Mecca. It is the world's largest reverse osmosis desalination plant and has been included in the Guinness Book of World Records.
