Recently, Egypt's Abu Qir Marine Port Container Terminal Project contracted by a Chinese builder has formally started its onshore construction, laying a solid foundation for accelerating the construction of main body of the project. The construction includes terminal construction, channel improvement and supporting facilities of fire prevention, water and electricity supply, pipeline network, etc. After completion, Abu Qir Marine Port will have an annual throughput capacity of 2 million TEUs that will significantly boost the local socioeconomic development and create more job opportunities.
