On December 7, the southwestern section of the Third Interchange Circuit of the Moscow Metro, the first metro project undertaken by the Chinese enterprise in Russia, held the inauguration ceremony. Russian President Vladimir Putin attended the ceremony via video link to announce the operation of the ten stations of the Third Interchange Circuit.

The southwestern section of the Third Interchange Circuit of the Moscow Metro includes the construction of the main structures of three stations, four shield sections and nine tunnels with a total length of 5.4km. During the construction, the five shield machines independently developed by the Chinese enterprise were highly recognized by Russia Academy of Engineering and Russian workers for the excellent performance, fast excavation and premium engineering quality. The five shield machines were designed for the long winter engineering period in winter in Russia, and their main drive, hydraulic pump station, frequency converter and other auxiliary heating system could withstand the temperature of minus 30 degrees Celsius. They successfully underwent the test of freezing environment and guaranteed the uninterrupted construction in winter.

The Moscow Government said that they show gratitude to the Chinese builder by applying the Chinese-style architecture at the Michurinsky Prospekt station. The southwestern part of Moscow has a high population density and heavy traffic pressure. After the inauguration, this project will offer passenger interchange with other lines of Moscow Metro that significantly facilitate the travel of local people.
