The Central Asia Express (Abas Port-Lanzhou) opens a sea-rail multi-modal transport new international logistics channel from Iran to China

On October 3, a sea-rail multi-modal transport freight train, returning from Bandar Abbas, Iran, to Lanzhou New Area, Gansu Province, entered Zhongchuan North Railway Station in Lanzhou New Area. For the first time, The Central Asia Express opened the "Iran-Lianyungang-Lanzhou New Area" sea-rail multi-modal transport international logistics channel, which is of great significance to promotion of the economic and trade exchanges between Gansu and Iran.

The train mainly carried solid asphalt. With a total of 20 containers, the goods weigh 489.62 tons. They were shipped from Bandar Abbas on July 18, 2022 and declared at Lianyungang Customs House on September 7 before being transported to Zhongchuan North Railway Station by railway from September 29.
