The 16th Anhui International Tea Expo comes to an end

On May 8, the four-day 16th Anhui International Tea Industry Expo (Tea Expo) in Hefei concluded successfully. According to statistics, the accumulated transaction amount during the exhibition reached 3.892 billion yuan, an increase of 60 percent over the previous year, and the Tea Expo has become an important window of open cooperation of Anhui tea. This year's Tea Expo exhibition covered a total area of nearly 40,000 square meters, making it the greatest Tea Expo in terms of exhibition area, the number of tea exhibitors and the variety of exhibits. Ireland, Fiji's Consul General in Shanghai, Argentina's consular officials in Shanghai and many other foreign guests attended the meeting, and Balasubramanian (Balu) Iyer, Regional Director for the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) Asia and Pacific, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. At the "Belt and Road" Tea Culture Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance Exchange Meeting, experts from National Co-Operative Council of Sri Lanka (SLNCC) and representatives of tea enterprises carried out exchanges on tea and good life, intangible cultural heritage protection and commercial use, dissemination and sharing of tea culture at home and abroad, which promoted the dynamic heritage of Anhui tea culture and enhanced the reputation and international influence of Anhui tea.
