Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) approved the Foreign Capital Utilization Plan for ADB Loan to Guangxi Hezhou Environment Restoration and Sustainable Development Project, with a view to supporting the improvement of the ecological environment in the Kedashan Mining Area, Hezhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, upgrading the public services for health care, elderly care, and employment, etc. and promoting the sustainable development in the Mining Area. The total investment of this project is RMB1.512 billion, of which EUR85 million (equivalent to RMB654 million) is to be borrowed from the ADB. The funds will be mainly used to support the environment restoration works in the Kedashan Mining Area, Hezhou, and build the institutional capacity of the integrated health and elderly care center, the knowledge and skills sharing center, etc.
