Department of Foreign Capital and Overseas Investment Jointly Held a Virtual Workshop on Key Areas of World Bank Lending with the World Bank and Relevant Government Agencies

To continue deepening lending cooperation between China and the World Bank (the Bank), further improve the quality of the Bank’s lending program in China, as well as advance the preparation of the Bank 2022-2023 lending pipeline in a solid manner, Department of Foreign Capital and Overseas Investment jointly held a virtual workshop on key areas of the Bank’s lending on September 6, with MOF’s Department of International Economic and Financial Cooperation and the World Bank Beijing Office. The discussion focused on two key areas (projects), i.e. China Plastic Waste Reduction (Phase II) Project and Decarbonizing Mobility and Logistics Program for Results, and made arrangements on priorities for next steps and the time schedule. Department of Environment and Resource of NDRC, representatives of relevant ministries, domestic and international experts, and representatives of some provincial (city, district) Development and Reform Commission, provincial financial department, and Project Management Offices attended the workshop.
