On September 13, Indonesian President Joko Widodo conducted an inspection of the collaborative project between Indonesia and China, the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway. He boarded the high-speed train at Jakarta's Halim Station and traveled to Padalarang Station in West Java. President Joko sang high praise for the dedicated efforts of the railway builders from both countries.

President Joko mentioned that, thanks to the combined efforts of all parties involved, the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway is set to commence commercial operations in early October. It was his first time riding the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway, and he described the journey as exceptionally smooth and comfortable as the train reached speeds of up to 350 kilometers per hour. He also expressed his hope that more Indonesian citizens would opt for public transportation, including the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway, to alleviate the traffic congestion between Jakarta and Bandung. This visit represents President Joko's fourth inspection of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway project during his second term.

The Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway links Indonesia's capital, Jakarta, with the fourth largest city, Bandung, covering a total distance of 142 kilometers. It has been designed to achieve a maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour and represents the first overseas deployment of China's high-speed rail technology, encompassing the entire system, all elements, and the full industrial chain.
