The groundbreaking ceremony of the Chinese-built Ouesso-Pokola Road and Sangha Bridge Project was held in Ouesso, the capital of Sangha Province of the Republic of the Congo. President of the Republic of the Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso attended the ceremony and laid the foundation stone for the project. The Congolese Minister of State, in charge of territorial planning, infrastructure, and road maintenance, Bouya, emphasized the project's importance for local economic and social development during his speech at the ceremony. He highly praised the efficiency and quality displayed by China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) in the Congo (Brazzaville) project construction and expressed gratitude on behalf of President Sassou, the Congolese government, and the people for the firm's long-standing support in the country's infrastructure construction.
