Chinese-funded Lahore Orange Line Metro Train celebrates its second anniversary

Recently, the Chinese-built Orange Line Metro Train held a special ceremony to celebrate the second anniversary of its opening in Lahore, Pakistan. The ceremony was attended by Cao Ke, Chinese deputy consul general in Lahore, Muhammad Ozair Shah, General Manager Operations at Punjab Masstransit Authority, Pakistan, and other guests. Located in Lahore, Pakistan's second-largest city, the Orange Line starts from Ali Town and ends at the Main Depot at Dera Gujran. With a total length of about 26 kilometers, it is the first urban rail transit system in the country and the first large infrastructure project under the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and the Belt and Road Initiative. The project not only boosts the confidence of Punjab in improving local economic and social development, but also further strengthens the determination to promote high-quality projects under the framework of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
