Since its opening nine months ago, China-Laos Railway has achieved a total of 6.71 million passenger trips, of which 5.87 million trips were made in China and 0.84 million trips in Laos. Out of the 7.17 million tonnes of cargo transported, 1.28 million tonnes were cross-border goods. In conclusion, China-Laos Railway has obtained remarkable achievements in transportation. Statistics from Kunming Customs show that in the past nine months, China-Laos Railway shipped more than 10 billion yuan worth of international goods, offering freight services to Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Cambodia, Singapore, and other countries and regions. Its role as a golden transportation channel is becoming prominent. The types of goods shipped via the railway have expanded from chemical fertilizers, rubber, and general merchandise to nearly 2,000, such as electronics, photovoltaic products, communication products, and flowers. China-Laos Railway covers eight countries, including Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia, through Laos.
