In the sugar production period 2020/2021, China’s total sugar cane planting area are 20.35 million mu. The sugar cane picking for processing enters the final stage.Sugar cane output is 84.65 million tons and sugar output is 10.67 million tons, an increase of 250 thousand tons over the previous sugar production period. Import of sugar is 6.34 million tons, an increase of 2.58 million tons; consumption of sugar is 15.8 million tons, an increase of 500 thousand tons. The average sales price of white sugar of domestic major enterprises (groups) was 5379 yuan per ton, down by 145 yuan per ton. Farmers' income increased by 2.1 billion yuan, fiscal revenue generated was 2.058 billion yuan, and enterprises realized the profits of 926 million yuan.
