| The Department of Rural Economy is responsible for analyzing the development of agriculture and rural economy; making policy recommendations on rural economic development strategies and the reform of rural economic system, coordinating major issues concerning agriculture and rural economic and social development; coordinating and balancing the development plans and policies for agriculture, forestry, water conservancy and meteorology; making proposals on layout of major projects, and coordinating the implementation of these proposals. |
