The Department of High-Tech Industry is responsible for studying the high-tech industry and technological trends, putting forward strategies, plans, policies, priorities areas and construction projects concerning the development of new technological industry and technological improvement; recommending policies that support the development of key technologies, organizing key demonstration projects and the R&D of important equipment outfits that are vital to the improvement of the quality of the national economy; organizing and promoting the technological innovation and the integration of industry, academia and research, and promoting the formation of new sectors of the national economy.
