The Department of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) is responsible for studying issues related to the development of SMEs, promoting fair competition and common development among enterprises of various ownerships; studying and recommending policy measures that support the development of SMEs, strengthening the overall guidance and support to SMEs; directing and promoting SMEs's international cooperation and improving the service system for SMEs; and coordinating the solution of problems that arise in the development of SMEs and non-state-owned economy.
