The Department of Price Supervision is responsible for guiding price supervision and inspection, organizing price inspections, and handling law-breaking activities and cases related to commodity price and fee collection; handling cases involving violation of price-related laws by central government agencies, provincial governments and SOEs under the direct supervision of the central government; drafting administrative laws and regulations of price supervision; handling reconsideration cases and appeals concerning the punishment of price violations.
