The Office of National Economic Mobilization is responsible for studying the relation between national economic and social development and national security; recommending strategies, guidelines and policies for national economic mobilization; putting forward suggestions on major policy measures concerning national defense; formulating development plans and annual plans of national economic mobilization; organizing the formulation of laws and regulations concerning national economic mobilization; providing advice on economic and social development projects that have a great bearing on national defense building; organizing research, spread and application of technologies that meet both military and civilian purposes; and promoting compatibility and convertibility of military and civilian aspects in the national economy.
