Department of National Economy

The Department of National Economy is responsible for studying and analyzing the economic situation at home and abroad, providing macroeconomic forecast and early warning, and recommending countermeasures concerning national economic security; drafting annual plans for national economic and social development and putting forward targets and polices for economic aggregate balance, structural adjustment and the balance of key commodities in the annual plan; bringing forward macroeconomic objectives concerning economic growth, employment, price stability and international balance of payments, and recommendations on the exercise of various economic instruments and policies; and formulating and coordinating plans for national strategic material reserve.
