The Bureau of Economic Operations is responsible for monitoring and analyzing the performance of industrial and transportation sectors, coordinating the solution to major problems of economic operation in industrial and transportation sectors, and studying and putting forward policy recommendations on economic operation in industrial and transportation sectors; organizing the emergent dispatching of important materials and coordinating the transportation of important materials; making recommendations on drawing on state material reserve; managing state pharmaceutical reserve; and undertaking the day-to-day work of the Inter-Ministerial Office of the Alleviation of Enterprises Burden under the State Council.
